November 2021

 My first project after arriving at home #2 was cleaning the boat and helping dad get her into the water.

We had the perfect weather and sunset.



It didn't take long for me to get to Epcot and 
get a few treats at the Food & Wine Festival.


Figment will always be my favorite


This dish tasted a lot better than it looked.

I have had this dish at a friends house where it was amazing.
The one at Epcot was OK

Made a quick trip to the Magic Kingdom to visit my
favorite ghost.  We share our first name.

The lobster roll was really good, the carrot cake was ok
and the wine was very good.

I waited till almost 10 PM to ride Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
I can tell you that it was worth the wait.  I laughed so hard.  
I will ride it again but not at 10 PM


Time for a road tip.
I headed to Hudson, FL to visit Mary and Barc.
I also got to see Uncle Fred and Aunt Charlene.

The Elks Lodge hosted the Alter Eagles

The band was really good.  I would see them again.
It also made me want to see the real Eagles even more.





I am so lucky to have friends who really know me.
Mary and Bob are friends from AZ, where we workamped.
Mary made shrimp and grits for me with a bacon tomato gravy (Florida thing)
and the best peach cobbler. 


 I took the time and went to Tarpon Springs.
I love this old city.  I walked the side streets and found some great shops.
It was a beautiful day to walk.



Veterans Day was spent at the Elks Lodge making breakfast for Veterans.
It was fun getting back in the kitchen.

This little critter thought he wanted to hitch a ride.

What a marvelous night for a moon dance



I went to The Magic Kingdom just to ride the Jungle Cruise,
Pirates of the Caribbean and see the fireworks.





I bought a new phone after seeing the fireworks.
I will be making another trip to see how the new phone compares.

I can't believe November is in the books.  December is looking busy also.
I am driving to Texas for Christmas and making a pit stop in New Orleans.  I think it will be beautiful, all decked out for Christmas.

I will be calling to see if I can get a delivery date for the new rig.
I am getting excited!!

April started at the Arkansas Whiskey Fest. Ken had never been to anything like this. It was a well organized event with a lot of different beverages  to taste and good food to eat. John and Tammy have a beautiful back yard and the best fire pit. The big bike trip for Maywas the 5 State Run. We did the run last year and it rained and you can see by all the layers everyone has on it was rainy and cold this year.  Rain or shine the ride is always beautiful and the stops are fun also.  We already have a room booked for next year. A few pictures from home.   June is when the fun began.  I dropped Ember off at home in Texas on June 1st and I headed home.  I had a great plan to get home on Saturday, pack the rig on Sunday and head to Michigan on Monday.  That planned got changed when I got a wonderful case of food poisoning. I was able to slowly pack the rig on Monday and leave on Tuesday.   While in Michigan I was able to visit with my Uncle Bob and Linda and so many other friends.  I think

October 2023 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

  Our first day at the Balloon Fiesta set the stage for the fun that was to come. As you can see the rig in the picture is not mine.  I took mine in to have some things fixed and while it was in the shop the fuel pump went out.  Other than the cost of renting a rig I was glad this didn't happen during the trip. We were up at 4:00am to arrive at the field for our hot air balloon ride.  The ride was amazing and the landing was easy but the best part was exchanging rings and vows with this amazing guy. We were on the field that morning to see the drone show, dawn patrol, fly over, singing of the national anthem and to see the pilots do a candle stick burn.  The red arrow shows where the rig was parked. We had free days and took a few trips to the Sandia  Mountains.  The first trip was a smooth twisting road, the second was a narrow, rocky dirt road.  That is where we found the cave.  The cage you see is the entrance to the cave.  The third way we seen the mountain was a tram ride to t

August 2024 - Ballons, Bike & the Great Outdoors

  I am patting myself on the back for posting the August blog before the end of September!! August was a HOT month here in Oklahoma City but that didn't stop us from having some fun. I took these photos on a different walk in the same park. We tried a new restaurant at the Grand Casino.  It is called Soto Sushi .  We weren't super hungry and decided to share a couple of plates.  The presentations were beautiful and that brown sauce was some type of beef reduction that was off the chart amazing.  We are already talking about a return trip. These are my random photos that I was not sure where to put.  The first one is from a trip to Eischen's Bar for their famous fried chicken.  I loved the way the sun set colored the building.  The Chevy Nova was in tow at the casino during the Bug Run.  I didn't get any pictures of that event because my allergies were in full touture mode and taking a lot of pictures was not high on my list.  Even though I felt awful it was a great run.
