 Ken got the quick intro to my family and friends.

We started with my sister-in-laws.  It was nice to have Mary in from Florida.


Next night was spent with my girl cousins and their spouses. 



This month I said good-bye to Holiday Shores in Durand, MI.  So many years making memories with great friends.  I will still be visiting Michigan just not staying the whole summer.

This group is so much fun. The campout was at Turkeyville in Marshall, MI.

This is Knox.  The newest puppy in the Blue Water group.


Ken had to leave Michigan early and get back to OKC.  I drove the rig and stayed at a couple new Harvest Hosts.  The first one was at the end of the Route 66 in Atlanta, IL.  I was right next to a train track but it wasn't bad.  I would come back here again.



The next stop was Bold Spoon Creamery.  This place was beautiful and the hosts were amazing.  Flash, the puppy was my companion on a couple walks around the property.  They had unique flavors of ice cream that were wonderful.

I was home for a few days and then I was off again.  I attended the FMCA Rally in Gillette, WY.  I spent two days at the board meeting but I was able to see some sights.  I had been to Devils Tower before and knew it was worth the trip.  I melted in the heat but the views were beautiful.  



After the board meeting it was time to ZOOM back to OKC for the BUG RUN.
It was HOT even though this ride was later in the day.  We met some friends at the casino at the end of the ride.

It was a busy month, just the way I like it.  
September has some big events so check back in for more adventures.

April started at the Arkansas Whiskey Fest. Ken had never been to anything like this. It was a well organized event with a lot of different beverages  to taste and good food to eat. John and Tammy have a beautiful back yard and the best fire pit. The big bike trip for Maywas the 5 State Run. We did the run last year and it rained and you can see by all the layers everyone has on it was rainy and cold this year.  Rain or shine the ride is always beautiful and the stops are fun also.  We already have a room booked for next year. A few pictures from home.   June is when the fun began.  I dropped Ember off at home in Texas on June 1st and I headed home.  I had a great plan to get home on Saturday, pack the rig on Sunday and head to Michigan on Monday.  That planned got changed when I got a wonderful case of food poisoning. I was able to slowly pack the rig on Monday and leave on Tuesday.   While in Michigan I was able to visit with my Uncle Bob and Linda and so many other friends.  I think

October 2023 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

  Our first day at the Balloon Fiesta set the stage for the fun that was to come. As you can see the rig in the picture is not mine.  I took mine in to have some things fixed and while it was in the shop the fuel pump went out.  Other than the cost of renting a rig I was glad this didn't happen during the trip. We were up at 4:00am to arrive at the field for our hot air balloon ride.  The ride was amazing and the landing was easy but the best part was exchanging rings and vows with this amazing guy. We were on the field that morning to see the drone show, dawn patrol, fly over, singing of the national anthem and to see the pilots do a candle stick burn.  The red arrow shows where the rig was parked. We had free days and took a few trips to the Sandia  Mountains.  The first trip was a smooth twisting road, the second was a narrow, rocky dirt road.  That is where we found the cave.  The cage you see is the entrance to the cave.  The third way we seen the mountain was a tram ride to t

August 2024 - Ballons, Bike & the Great Outdoors

  I am patting myself on the back for posting the August blog before the end of September!! August was a HOT month here in Oklahoma City but that didn't stop us from having some fun. I took these photos on a different walk in the same park. We tried a new restaurant at the Grand Casino.  It is called Soto Sushi .  We weren't super hungry and decided to share a couple of plates.  The presentations were beautiful and that brown sauce was some type of beef reduction that was off the chart amazing.  We are already talking about a return trip. These are my random photos that I was not sure where to put.  The first one is from a trip to Eischen's Bar for their famous fried chicken.  I loved the way the sun set colored the building.  The Chevy Nova was in tow at the casino during the Bug Run.  I didn't get any pictures of that event because my allergies were in full touture mode and taking a lot of pictures was not high on my list.  Even though I felt awful it was a great run.
