June was filled with adventures, weddings and road trips with family. I had extra time to check out the Greenville area so I stopped by the  Garst Museum .  They have a few well know people from this area, Annie Oakley and Lowell Thomas are a couple. Click on the link to view the museums web site. I arrived back at Holiday Shores on June 11th for a short stay before the  family road trip.  The rig will stay in Michigan till August. I was in Michigan for three days.  I had time to do some shopping and have dinner with my oldest granddaughter Ella, then it was time for a family road trip to Manchester, Vermont for my nieces wedding.  The trip was great with my sister-in-law Linda and my great  nephew Camden riding along. I would like to introduce you to Kiki. No, she is not mine but I did get to  puppy set her while I was in Michigan. She is a doll! The map only shows the journey's in the RV.  The map would be a mess if I added all of my...

Where does the time go? I don't even have the May blog done and June is almost over. Life is good!! What a ride. 500 miles or so round trip!! It was a beautiful tour even if it was cold and rainy. The organizers did a great job and everything went so smooth. We already booked a room for next year!! Ken built a dresser for me. It is a beautiful piece of furniture.  Looks like I am home. The little opossum was hanging around the house for awhile. The prairie dogs are a couple miles from the house. This is an old before picture but it gives you an idea of the work that went into this project This is the finished project. Now the grass needs to grow I have been using the Canon 90D to take pictures from the back of the bike. The original dinner on Route 66  And the replica down the road I spent the last day of school with Ember. Tossing the Frisbee has become our new pastime. I think that is everything for May.  June has been busy with travel, rallies...

Embers class had a field trip to the park and then off to see a play.  Georgetown has a lot of talent.  This time we seen Nate the Great.  It was nice to see so many parents attend.   I will be in OKC till June.  That is when I head to a rally in Greenville, OH.  Then I will take the rig back to Michigan for the summer and I will be back and forth between OKC and Michigan for campouts. Safe travels to all the snow birds heading back to Michigan. See ya soon!!

I love volunteering at the rally because you get to park early, before the hordes of people arrive.  This is our 13th year at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. Driving around Perry I found this beautiful old  cemetery. This was a new restaurant.  Great find in a small town. Crab Cakes Etouffee Found this on a corner in in front of the cemetery  The entertainment was GREAT this year. These are three of the four groups we had. I was freezing and did not get photos of the first group. I had a couple of cold rainy nights driving the golf cart. My winnings at the silent auction My first stop after the rally was in Montgomery, AL. I stayed at Montgomery KOA. They are working at upgrading an existing camp ground.  I will be coming back to this place.  I had an extra day and took in the sights. My first Harvest Hosts stop was The Simmons-Wright Company Store   in Toomsuba, MS.  This store and the grounds were a trip back in time. ...
